Rooted In Grace Home Care

Rooted in Grace Home Care LLCWhat inspired you to choose Spring Creek as the community you serve?

After relocating to Western North Carolina, my family and I were really looking for a place that felt like home—and we found that in Spring Creek. I’ve always been drawn to small, close-knit communities, and this one quickly captured my heart. Through my experience as a traveling CNA working throughout the region, I saw a real need for more one-on-one, in-home care. Starting my own home care service has been a long-time dream, and when the opportunity at the Community Center came along, it just felt meant to be. I’m honored to serve and grow within this community.

What does community mean to you?

Community, to me, means connection, trust, and looking out for one another. It’s about knowing your neighbors, supporting local families, and making sure no one feels alone—especially in times when they need care the most.

How did you get into the work you do?

I’ve always felt drawn to caring for others and helping those who may need a little extra support. From a young age, I spent time helping an elderly neighbor with daily tasks and companionship, which first sparked my love for caregiving. As I grew older, I had the privilege of helping care for my grandfather, and later supporting my grandmother for several years.

My caregiving experience also extends into my own family, including caring for my child with special needs, which has given me a deeper understanding of patience, advocacy, and truly individualized care. These experiences have all shaped not only my skills, but also my belief in the importance of dignity, compassion, and meeting each person where they are.

How long have you been in the industry ?

I have been a CNA for one year, with several years of prior experience in private caregiving. My work has included both hands-on personal care and support in home settings.

Do you live in Spring Creek?

Yes, I currently live in Spring Creek and am grateful to be part of this community.

What do you love most about Spring Creek?

What I love most about Spring Creek is the strong sense of community and the slower, more connected way of life. People here look out for one another, and there is a real feeling of neighborly support.

Do you have any pets ?

Yes, we have a few pets. Our family includes a service dog named Koda, a ball python named Fred (who has been with us since my daughter was very young), a hamster named Charlie, a cat named MoonPie, and a small flock of chickens. We definitely enjoy animals and the life they bring to our home.

Is there anything unique about you that you would like to share with the Spring creek community?

One thing I would like to share is that my approach to care is very personal and relationship-based. I truly believe in treating every client with the same dignity, patience, and respect I would want for my own family. My goal is to provide care that helps people stay comfortable, safe, and supported in their own homes, while building real trust within the community.
