Get Involved

Come to an Event:
Check the calendar! We have events throughout the year (yard sale, car show/pie competition, Christmas Bazaar). Most events are free and open to the public. If a certain class has a fee, it will be noted on the event description.

Attend a Board Meeting:
Board meetings are held the first Thursday of every month from 2-5pm in the library. Time for public comments is made at the beginning of each meeting and everyone is welcome to stay for the public portion of each board meeting.

Consider Volunteering:
The SCCC relies on the help of our many wonderful volunteers to make every event happen! In fact, all of our board members are volunteers!

We are looking for volunteers for a variety of activities ranging from planning and staffing events, running craft tables during activity nights, and helping with grounds and building maintenance/improvements. Many calls for event-based volunteering are sent out through our community email list. If you only have an hour or so, come and help us at an event.

Would you like to volunteer support or host a recurring event, like Bingo or movie night? Check out our committees here and see what you might be interested in doing!

Do you have a topic you would love to teach:  quilting, gardening, computer skills, beekeeping, or animal husbandry? We would love to discuss your ideas!

Do you enjoy behind-the-scenes administrative volunteering like website maintenance, marketing, or email communication? Let us know what skills you have to share!

Send us an email at SpringCreekCommunityCenter@gmail.com or call 828-585-7703 if you are interested in volunteering!

Join our Newsletter:
Sign up for the mailing list! We will send out periodic emails to our mailing list members. Emailed newsletters are sent out regularly to update you on Spring Creek Community Center happenings. Several times per year we will have a hard copy of the newsletter sent to your Spring Creek local mailbox.

Donate:
The Spring Creek Community Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 and all donations are tax-deductible. We are funded entirely by donations, fundraising events, space rentals, and grants. Your donation helps us to pay utilities, keep up with building maintenance, maintain required insurance, and provide for event needs. Additionally, SCCC has received large grants to cover the majority of the cost of fully renovating Phase 3 but we still need funds to cover a few remaining costs. Any donations are appreciated. We can also accept credit card donations, though a transaction fee percentage is taken out. See DONATE button on the home page for details. With donations of cash or check, 100% of your donation benefits SCCC. Donations can be mailed to:
