Spring Creek Community Center (13075 NC 209 hwy, Hot Springs, NC 28743)
Mission: The primary purpose of the Spring Creek Community Center is to promote a sense of cooperation, stewardship, and caring for local heritage, to improve the economic circumstances of the community, and to serve the social and educational needs of residents.
Spring Creek Community Center is seeking a part-time Director (20 hours/week) to lead daily operations and support community programs on our campus.
This role will oversee programs and partnerships, guide the development of our community kitchen to become a commercial kitchen, and expand digital literacy and classroom offerings in collaboration with local partners like A-B Tech and Madison County Cooperative Extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee center operations, staff, and volunteers
- Coordinate programs, partnerships, and facility use
- Lead kitchen development and ensure food safety compliance
- Manage classroom programs and teach digital literacy
- Track participation and support grant writing and reporting
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience in community programs, food systems, or education
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office Suite, Google Workspace) and ability to learn new software quickly
- Ability to work independently and with community partners
Details:
- Report directly to the SCCC Board of Directors
- Part-time (20 hrs/week, flexible schedule)
- Some evenings/weekends required
- $25–$30/hour (1099 contract)
